Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and assisted by hundreds of volunteers each year, Easter Seals East Georgia began its service to Augusta and 41 surrounding counties in 1962 with the goal of helping people, primarily adults with disabilities develop the skills and confidence necessary to achieve lasting independence through vocational testing and evaluation, work training and job placement.
