Limited Edition - Sacred Heart Cultural Center

$10.00

The cornerstone of this Victorian Romanesque structure was laid on February 20, 1898, with the building dedication for use on December 2, 1900. The original purpose of it was to serve as the church for Jesuit college. However, the life of the college was short and the doors closed in 1919. The church continued operations until its last mass on July 4, 1971 and was headed for demolition in 1974, until Peter Knox Jr purchased and renovated, and renamed it the Sacred Heart Cultural Center. Today it serves the community both as a home to non-profit organizations and as a unique venue for cultural and social events.
