2020 - The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church
$20.00
Formally organized in 1810, The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church is a monument to one of Georgia’s earliest Catholic communities. The current building was constructed from 1857-1863, and is the oldest surviving Catholic Church building in Georgia. The history of this community and its contributions both to Augusta’s development and Georgia history are reflected in the building records. With the tower and some embellishments added in the late 19th/20th centuries, the building is an impressive example of Romanesque Revival in 19th century church architecture.
