In 1971, a group of parents stepped out in faith to start a school with a Christian worldview and high academic standards to serve the Augusta community. Thanks to the prayers, hard work, and generous hearts of those founders, Westminster Schools of Augusta was established in 1972 and continues today as a ministry of First Presbyterian Church. In 2022 Westminster celebrates “50Years of God’s Faithfulness”, as a testimony to the steadfastness of God. Westminster’s enrollment and campus has steadily grown from its beginning with 178 students in a rented facility, to a student body of more than 500 on 38 acres. The vision for Westminster’s future is well articulated in the theme verse for the 50th Anniversary, “Your faithfulness endures to all generations,” Psalms 119:90a.
